Understand the profit on a service project

Last updated October 10, 2026

Separate a large project fee from the money left after costs.

Record received money

An accepted proposal is not a payment. Enter money actually received in the payment schedule and mark the relevant entry received.

Record costs and time

Add direct expenses and time entries. Set the hourly labour cost to estimate the value of work. Keep currencies separate.

Read the estimate correctly

LeadPilot estimates profit as received payments minus expenses minus tracked hours multiplied by hourly labour cost. This is operational information, not a replacement for accounting or tax advice.
